At Kuza Cave Culture Centre in Jambiani, Zanzibar, you can dive into Swahili culture through various activities. Participate in African dance and drumming lessons, art and craft workshops, and Swahili cooking classes, each suited to different experience levels. These activities provide an authentic connection to the local heritage.

You can also enjoy a Swahili Culture Day, which includes swimming in Kuza Cave, dancing, drumming, and cooking sessions. This experience supports local education and artists while allowing you to contribute to community development.

    Kuza Cave

    Swim in the healing waters, see artifacts from the cave and a map of Swahili history going back to the beginning of our story as humans originating in East Africa.

    Kibigija Village are the traditional owners of the cave, they invite you to visit if you respect the cave as a sacred place. The project is managed in partnership with the Kuza Cave team as a Social Enterprise.
