4. Wildlife Sanctuary

Project Goal:

Establish Kuza cave as a wildlife sanctuary for endangered Red Colobus Monkeys, birds and other wildlife

Project Objectives:

• Build a fence around the area to keep out packs of hunting dogs
• Clear the surrounding land to reduce fire hazards
• Provide alternative employment for locals to reduce the stress of sharing limited resources

Main Steps involved

✓ Meet with Kibigija Sheha (Chief)  and Village representatives

✓ Buy and collect wood to build the fence

✓ Put up the fence around the cave
